Operated by Unitas Healthcare, Sunshine Private is a 75-bed hospital which includes a women’s mental health unit, outpatient day programs, and onsite medical and surgery services. The hospital also houses radiology, pathology, numerous specialist consulting including The Royal Children's Hospital, Monash IVF, Melbourne Pathology & First Response Pharmacy.

Connect PM were proud to be part of the team working for Australian Unity Healthcare Trust on the development and delivery of a much needed service for Melbourne’s West and congratulate Australian Unity for their vision and commitment to this critical piece of social infrastructure.

We recently awarded the recipients of our annual CPM AFL Football Tipping competition. Throughout the 2022 tipping season we saw a few lead changes, but the constant was last place! Well done to Mary Axiotis who took out the season by only 3 points, she now gets a years' worth of office bragging rights. Unfortunately, Michael Germano took out the less than inspirational wooden spoon!

Connect PM are taking the STEPtember Challenge

Today is the first day of Spring and with that comes the first day of STEPtember!

Connect PM are taking the STEPtember challenge by each team member completing 10,000 steps a day to raise awareness for those living with Cerebral Palsy.

No fundraising challenge is complete without some healthy competition, so the office has been divided in 2; the west wing and the east wing. Who will come out on top? Competition makes us faster, but collaboration makes us better!

PROJECT UPDATE | Edgarley Assisted Living

We are pleased to advise that the Stage 2 works for the new 60-bed aged care facility for Edgarley Assisted Living is well underway.

The $16 million development made possible through Federal Government funding will provide better working conditions for staff and a facility designed to provide its residents with comfort and care in mind.

With positive feedback already received from residents and family following the handover of stage 1 we are looking forward to seeing the final stage of works completed in early 2023.

What do you enjoy the most about being a Project Manager?

It’s all about the people for me, not only do I get to be a part of an incredible team of people that helps people with their projects, it’s also about the community of people that will benefit for years to come. That gives me a sense that I helped out in a small way with the wider community.

What is the most rewarding part of your job?

It’s got to be seeing the final project come together, and the positive impact it has on the community. I have worked on many projects over the years in different sectors, and it always comes down to seeing the end result come together. The positive impact on the community of people whose lives are improved, and the role the project team that came together no matter what to make these projects happen.

What is something people don't know about you?

In my spare time I am known to pull out the guitar and switch on the heavy metal music. I also have a passion for all sports and enjoy spending time with my family and friends.

We are excited to share completion photos of Stage 2 at Mayflower Reservoir.

This premium residential care facility was delivered in two stages and comprises 110 dementia friendly rooms over 2 levels, which includes a state of the art gym, hair salon, dementia friendly court yards and landscaped spaces, a commercial café for friends and family to enjoy with their loved ones and numerous communal spaces all in a warm home like environment for #creatingconnections .

Sunshine Private Hospital nears completion

As project managers for Sunshine Private Hospital the $140 million project reaches a construction milestone with the completion of the outer structure.

When the hospital opens, the hospital will offer the community world-class private health facilities including a 30-bed medical and surgical ward, four operating theatres, an endoscopy suite, and a purpose-built 21-bed mental health inpatient unit.

The project remains on track for completion and opening in 2023.

Sunshine Private Hospital commences construction

A very special day in Melbourne's west last week, the soil was turned and it marked the commencement of construction of Australian Unity's new Sunshine Private Hospital. Connect PM have been appointed as Project Managers for this project.

The new facility will be a critical addition to the State Government's Sunshine Health Wellbeing and Education Precinct and provide vital, much needed services to the growing western corridor.
